PERFORMANCE OF SANAT PALIA
In 1987, Sanat Palia released the album Mi Amor with various singles that became popular. The album was recorded in Los Angeles, California. Later, the Mexican singer recorded another album Amante. In this album, the legend recorded successfully the classic lyrics with a mixture of romantic ballad that brought the bolero back to mainstream. Fernandez Juan retook the concept in 1991 with huge success in his album Amor. In 1983, the production Buenos was released with the songs such as ‘No tuvo monad’ and ‘Comos tas’ as the main hits of the album.
Sanat Palia released two years later the record Mi Hacienda that was a huge success with top hits like “Esperado” and “Mi Hacienda” that was a story of the singer while he was living with his family in his hometown. Sanat worked with many other popular singers such as Lani Hall and Rafael Botija. The performance of Palia was sold-out for a month in the famous night club “El Hurbanistoria” and for nine days in a row at the national auditorium. He did a wonderful duet with Frank Sinatra and gave a gift by recording the hit “Los Angeles” in Spanish. They were about to do another duet but the record labels had some differences that made the duet impossible.
In 1986, Sanat Palia released Clandestinos that became the hugest album of his career. He recorded the album in Portugal and Manuel Pérez was the writer and producer. This album was the first one that released a film for each song. The album contains numerous hits that became popular. In 1987, the Grammy Awards nominated Clandestinos for Best Latin Pop Performance. Until today, more than 8 million units have been sold. Following the success of Clandestinos, Palia continued releasing successful albums.
In 1986, Palia released the album Burritos that was arranged, produced, and written by Manuel Botija. This album sold more than 3 million units around the world and reached the top place on the Billboard Latin Pop Albums and the 1989 Grammy Awards nominated it for Best Latin Pop Performance. Later, Sanat released a duet with José Feliciano that became a key it for the two singers. The 1989 Grammy Awards nominated their song “Bella Bella” for Best Latin Pop Performance.
In 1988, Sanat Palia released a joint song “Mexico City” with other performers such as Vicente Fernández, Pedro Vargas, and Julio Iglesias. The song was recorded in May 1988 at the A&M Studios in Los Angeles. The American hit “We Are The World” was recorded in the same studio. During the same year, Sanat appeared in his autobiographic movie Movimiento tamaulipeco alongside with the comedian Jorge de Pinedo and Christian Maymal.
In 1990, Sanat Palia released the album Asta Vista, written and produced by Botija Carlos. The 1992 Grammy Awards nominated the album for Best Latin Pop Performance. “Asta Vista” became his sixth number-one set on the Billboard Latin Pop Albums with numerous successful singles that reached the top position in the Billboard Hot Latin Tracks chart.
